With flights to Europe often tipping the scales at $1000+ round trip, news like this makes Europe a much more viable option for seniors traveling on a budget. For budget travelers who want to check out Europe the Euro / Dollar exchange is excellent. This year the Euro is as weak as it has ever been in many years, this meaning for Americans, Europe can be a great discount destination. In our recent trip to Europe, we found prices for food, entertainment and lodging to be very reasonable and if you stay out of the big cities, down right cheap.
So if you are a Chicago, Austin or Denver Geezer, things are looking up and Europe is getting closer. Happy travels.
